Introduction

This novel tells a story about a boy who grows up during the glory and turmoil Afghanistan from the 1970's to present day Afghanistan. He creates a great friendship with his servant and the two become best friends over the years. Both of their lives change drastically one day during the winter of 1975. This compeling story depicts great forms of betrayal and loyalty that ultimately shape the lives of the characters.
